Meal List: Menu Planning with Choices

It’s the last week of Get Your Life Organized Boot Camp. A big thanks to Sharon from Momof6 for the motivation and great tips on menu planning (and everything else!)

Ah, menu planning. I have tried and failed several times. So, what’s the problem? I was making it too complicated and not planning ahead. I am not a chef, I am a mom that wants to save money and time while making healthy meals for my family.

Meal Planning Theme Nights

I’m taking Sharon’s suggestion and making theme nights. Here are our themes for meal planning!

Menu List Meal Planning Theme Nights getSNAZZY
Monday – Mexican Tuesday- Italian Wednesday – Easy Thursday -Slow Cooker Friday – Favorites Weekend – Open (We usually have leftovers for lunch)

 

Menu List with Choices

I get stuck in a rut and we eat the same boring meals all the time. Not anymore, here’s my menu list with choices! Click here to download a PDF of my Menu List: Meal Planning with Choices. We will follow the theme night and reference this list of meal ideas. Each Sunday at our family meeting we will pick choices for the week and add them to the dry erase menu board in our kitchen command center. Then I’ll make my shopping list using Grocery iQ. No excuse for not cooking at home, I will have the ingredients and a plan BEFORE 5 o’clock.

* Select Main Ingredient (Meat, Seafood, Vegetarian) 1. Select Cuisine or Meat Choice as starting point 2. Pick Sauce / Seasoning 3. Select Cooking Method and Find Recipe (I have a binder of favorites) 4. Pick Sides * All the combinations won’t work, but experiment and try something new!
